Now with enhanced filtering

We are excited to announce a major upgrade to Easy Agile Programs with a new Dependencies report designed to help program leaders easily understand their dependencies and quickly identify high-risk issues.

Since our last announcement on July 3, we have rolled out more filters to give users the option to hide healthy dependencies, done dependencies or dependencies within the same team.

Dependencies health summary

The summary gives a health snapshot of dependencies within the selected program increment and teams by showing the number of dependencies in the increment split by health status: Conflict, At risk, Healthy, and External.

Team dependencies matrix

The matrix makes it easy to identify potential issues in workload and scheduling by highlighting the volume of issues each team blocks and is blocked by.

Overly dependent teams or bottlenecks can be quickly identified, prompting program leaders to consider reorganizing work or review capacity and resourcing tradeoffs.

With just a click on the Team dependencies matrix, users can access further details about the dependencies, arming themselves with the context needed for effective decision-making and stakeholder discussions.

Filter out visual noise

Intuitive filters give users the options to customize the report to suit various scenarios

  • Show/Hide done dependencies

  • Show/Hide dependencies within the same team

  • Show/Hide healthy dependencies in the team dependencies matrix

Central Source of Truth

The Dependencies report is the central instrument panel for program leaders and teams by cutting through the clutter to highlight areas of concern, letting them

  • get a quick snapshot of dependencies health from the summary and be equipped to unblock teams where needed

  • spot scheduling risks and access in-depth information with just a click on the team dependencies matrix

  • support decision-making during ART syncs and planning workshops, and provide relevant status updates with the report's filtering options.

Dark mode for Cloud

Introducing a sleeker, chicer look that’s easy on the eyes — Dark Mode is now available on Cloud!

Whether you’re burning the midnight oil or just prefer a more stylish interface, our new dark theme ensures you can continue planning and tracking with minimal glare and maximum flair. Light up the dark, without the stark!

Dark Mode is only available for our Cloud customers. For our DC customers, we hear that Dark Mode is on its way in Jira 10. We'll look to enable that for you as soon as we can.

Bug fixes

The following bugs were fixed for DC and Cloud

  • Estimations on Team Planning board disappear for multi-project boards using shared sprints

  • Clicking on issue key in the dependency details dialog doesn't open issue view

  • Date synced issues that were previously scheduled manually appear in the incorrect increment if the synced dates do not align with the initial increment where the issue was scheduled

  • If the same issues, with dependency links, are shown for more than one team then the dependency line is not shown

  • Dragging and dropping onto the program roadmap occasionally fails

  • Security vulnerability fixes

  • Performance improvements to improve loading of reports screen for DC users with large instances - this is something we will continue to monitor and address as necessary.
